Description
Shipping labels ensure that your letter or package reaches its intended destination. While it might be called a ‘shipping’ label, these labels are used for all types of transport, whether sea, road or air. Shipping labels are generally used on boxes, bags, pallets and other packages.
Our shipping labels can come blank, in a template design with blank spaces to be filled, or pre-printed with the recipient’s details. They can also use a standard template or a customised and branded design.
FAQ
Can I customise shipping labels?
By their nature every shipping label will be different, so customisation is important – you can’t just go buy pre-printed shipping labels online. Customisation can be achieved in a number of ways: by buying blank labels and printing on-site (our range of Zebra direct thermal printers are a great way to do this), or by sending our team the custom details to print.
Most commonly though, our in-house design team creates a custom (and often branded) template that can form the base of your shipping labels, ready for the custom information to be added on your end.
What information do you need on a shipping label?
The information that needs to be listed on a shipping label can vary slightly from freight company to freight company. As a rule, the following information will generally appear on shipping labelling:
- The destination address: To ensure the package gets to where it needs to be.
- The origin or return address: To ensure the package can find its way back to you if something goes wrong.
- The size and weight of the package: To allow the freight company to price the transport and practice safe handling.
- The mode of shipping: Sea/road/air, first class, next day, priority, general, or any other service that the freight company might offer.
- Tracking information: Whether a tracking number, barcode or QR code, usually generated by the freight company, that allows them to track the movement of the freight.
What material do we use for our shipping labels?
Would you like the short answer or the long answer?
We use any and every material. Adhesive (acrylic and hot melt), laminate, removable, thermal, gloss, matte, paper, polypropylene, metallic… if it can be made into a label, it’s likely in our range. We can also supply shipping labels blank, or pre-printed in a branded template that’s ready for the shipping information to be added as an over-print.
This puts us in a position to offer the perfect shipping label for your product. No matter what it’ll be stuck to or where it’ll be sent, there’ll be a material in our range to suit.
