Jar Labels
Beginning as purely functional containers, jars are as popular now as they’ve ever been, having transformed into cute, modern and stylish pieces of interior decoration.
Whether your jars hold candles, conserves, curiosities or confectionery, at Cohesion we’re ready to create a label that perfectly represents both your brand and your product.
Description
“As the name suggests, a jar label is any sticker that is placed on the face of a jar. The intent of a jar label is to deliver important information about the product contained inside (or, if you’re simply selling the container, the jar itself), while also staying true to the seller’s brand.
Depending on the contents of the jar there may be regulatory requirements that the label must meet. If it contains a food product, the label may need to offer up nutritional information. If it contains a candle, lighting instructions and a fire danger warning may need to be added.”

Our label printing expertise
Cohesion Labels might be almost 100 years old, but we’re young at heart. As WA’s most experienced label producer, we combine a history that stretches back to 1925 with the industry’s most modern and innovative mindset.
If you can imagine it, we’ll make it stick. And if you can’t imagine it, we can do that for you! We deliver address labels and shipping labels your way.
Can I customise jar labels?
As a jar sticker must accurately describe the container and contents that it is stuck to, customisation is critical – you can’t go shopping for jar labels online.
Happily our in-house design team is ready to help. They bring a wealth of experience in jar label design, and are able to create something simple, or a custom branded label that makes your product look great and gives consumers all the information they require!
What information do you need on a jar label?
The information that must be listed on a jar label will change depending on its contents. If the jar holds a food product, for example, the label should list:
- The energy in either kilojoules or kilojoules/calories
- The nutrients, including protein, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates, sugars and sodium
- The ingredients, including food additives
- Date marking, including ‘best before’ where applicable
- Allergens and sulphites
- Directions for use and storage
- Supplier information and country of origin
Meanwhile, other jar contents may not be affected by regulatory requirements whatsoever. It’s important that you carefully research your jar labelling responsibilities, and ensure you meet them.
Regulation aside, any information that a customer might find useful, or that might lead to a sale, should be put on the label. This should be balanced with good design though, as you don’t want to offer up an overwhelming amount of info.
What jar label sizes do you print?
At Cohesion our high-end machinery is capable of producing the highest quality jar labels in whatever shape, size, material and design you need!
What material do we use for our jar labels?
Would you like the short answer or the long answer?
