Honey Labels
Honey has long been a part of the human diet. Perfect on bread, in tea and glazed on meat, this allrounder remains as popular as ever.
For producers, the honey market is a competitive one. It can be difficult to stand out on the supermarket shelf or in a row of farmers market stalls. But an eye-catching honey label from Cohesion can help you do just that.
Description
A honey label is any sticker that is placed on a honey product. The intent of a honey label is to deliver important information about the product, while also standing out on a shelf and staying true to the brand.
No matter the size of your operation, whether industrial-level or backyard hive, three elements must be on every honey label – country of origin, the proportion of Australian content, and explanatory wording.
FAQ
Our label printing expertise
Cohesion Labels might be almost 100 years old, but we’re young at heart. As WA’s most experienced label producer, we combine a history that stretches back to 1925 with the industry’s most modern and innovative mindset.
If you can imagine it, we’ll make it stick. And if you can’t imagine it, we can do that for you! We deliver honey labels your way.
Can I customise honey labels?
As a honey sticker must accurately describe the product that it’s stuck to, customisation is critical – you can’t just go shopping for any old honey labels online.
Happily our in-house design team is ready to help. They bring a wealth of experience in honey label design, and are able to create something simple, or a custom branded label that makes your product look great and gives consumers all the information they require!
What information do you need on a honey label?
Aside from your own branding and the word ‘honey’ – which can only be used if the honey has no less than 60% reducing sugars and no more than 21% moisture – your honey label must display the following information:
Country of origin (Australian honey is usually represented by the ‘kangaroo in a triangle’ symbol.)
A bar chart showing the proportion of Australian content
Explanatory wording such as ‘Australian Honey’, ‘Product of Australia’, ‘Produce of Australia’ or ‘Made in Australia’.
Regulation aside, any information that a customer might find useful or that might lead to a sale should be put on the label. This should be balanced with good design though, as you don’t want to offer up an overwhelming amount of info.
What honey label sizes do you print?
At Cohesion our high-end machinery is capable of producing the highest quality honey labels in whatever shape, size, material and design you need!
What material do we use for our honey labels?
Would you like the short answer or the long answer?
We use any and every material. Adhesive (acrylic and hot melt), laminate, removable, thermal, gloss, matte, paper, polypropylene, metallic… if it can be made into a label, it’s likely in our range.
This puts us in a position to offer the perfect honey label for your product. No matter what it’ll be stuck to or where it’ll be stored, there’ll be a material in our range to suit.
How do you print honey labels?
At Cohesion we use industry-leading technology and machinery to print our honey labels. All of our custom honey labels are designed and printed right here in WA, meaning you get the highest quality prints in the shortest time frame possible.
